How to enter verbs into the dictionary.

How should we enter verbs into the dictionary? I suggest that we start with the basic form like we already have and do not add the pronoun "einhver/somebody".

Example: að segja = to say and not að segja e-ð = to say sth.

In case where dative or genitive follows, clarifications like [+þgf.] [+ef.] can be added. Where as accusative is the default case we would not bother to add [+þf.] to a verb.

Example: að eyða [+þgf.] = to delete; að óska [+ef.] = to wish; að saga = to saw.

When the verb is associated with a proposition like ""að greina frá = to recount" clarifications should not be added unless there is a doubt what case follows. The proposition "frá" always takes dative with it so no clarifications is needed. Propositions like "á" and "í" on the other hand take both accusative and dative but in some cases nothing follows. I suggest that we only add clarification in case of dative

Examples:
að brjótast inn í = to break into (accusative)
að steyta á [+þgf.] = to hit (dative)
að fljúgast á = to fight (nothing)

When things get more complicated like "að segja einhverjum eitthvað" placeholders should be used.

að segja e-m e-ð = to tell sb. sth.
að segja e-m frá e-u = to tell sb. sth.
